Eric Bauer joined The Patio Group as Vice President of Operations in 2019 and is responsible for strategizing to achieve and exceed operational goals of bringing restaurant guests unique atmospheres and fueling fresh ideas to chefs and general managers in order to deliver an elevated dining experience.
Bauer brings over eighteen years of management experience to his position. Before joining The Patio Group, he served as Senior Director of Operations for Zume, Inc., a delivery-only pizza company powered by robots, which he helped to triple the business in his first seven months. Bauer was also a part of the founding team for Nurture Life, an organic direct to consumer subscription service from Chicago IL, delivering healthy organic meals for children throughout the US. Bauer has operations experience ranging from three million to forty-five million dollars and spent the vast majority of his career in high-end luxury Forbes 5 star hotels in the capacity of food and beverage director as well as executive chef. Bauer was instrumental in the rebranding and relaunch of Rancho Valencia in Rancho Santa Fe in addition to working for almost a decade in various roles and locations across the Americas for Four Seasons Hotels.
In addition to his wealth of management knowledge, Bauer has a passion for cooking. Originally from Illinois, he started his career as a line cook at the Ritz Carlton Chicago before heading west to experience everything California has to offer.
Bauer continues to help The Patio Group expand its footprint to bring high-quality food and service to broader audiences and bring California Coastal cuisine directly to more customers in the workplace.
When not in the restaurants, Bauer enjoys spending time at the beach surfing and enjoying the Southern California lifestyle with his wife and newborn baby girl.
