Champion-Cain Leaves CCDC Board

November 30, 2005

SAN DIEGO, CA—The Centre City Development Corporation (CCDC) Board of Directors today reluctantly accepted the resignation of Director Gina Champion-Cain, who announced on November 28 that she would leave the board due to a potential future conflict-of-interest.  She was appointed to the CCDC Board on June 29.

“We are saddened to lose such a bright and talented board member,” said Chairman Hal Sadler.  “Her extensive development background and enthusiasm for downtown has been a tremendous asset to us. We wish her the very best in all of her future endeavors.”

Champion-Cain is President and CEO of American National Investments, a local real estate services company. Currently, she sits on the University of San Diego’s Policy Advisory Board and the Downtown San Diego Partnership Board of Directors.

She also chairs the City of San Diego’s Housing Advisory and Appeals Board and serves on the San Diego Advisory Council for Best Buddies, the San Diego Brain Tumor Foundation Board of Directors, and the San Diego Repertory Theatre’s Board of Trustees as Chair of the Development Committee.
